Artist in Residence



Rob Fields aka “Black Liquid” is an independent Hip-Hop artist, entrepreneur, and FM Radio DJ. Once described by Style Weekly as “a pillar of Richmond’s Hip-Hop scene,” Black Liq’s resume spans from performances with artists such as DMX and Snoop Dogg to speaking engagements and teaching his Hip-Hop Creative Writing curriculum in collaboration with non-profit organizations such as Art 180 and Children’s Home Society in public school and juvenile detention centers. He has also released 20 albums, most recently in October 2021, and continues to push the limits of what can be accomplished through his path and music, both inside and outside of the studio.
