Kathryn is passionate about holistic, student centered learning, that emphasizes a broader connection to the outside community and natural world.



Kathryn previously taught preschool at Open Arms Christian Child Development Center, where she led students in circle meetings, art and literacy building activities, and provided the necessary scaffolding for child directed education and play.  Prior to working at Open Arms, she served as a Theater Teacher at Southern Rep Theater in New Orleans, Louisiana. At the Southern Rep Theater, Kathryn directed plays, led theater programming, and taught movement, voice, music and reading skills for students aged 4-12. 

Kathryn earned her Bachelor’s degree in Theater Arts from Loyola University New Orleans in 2020, where she also minored in English Writing. Her dual focus in performance and writing helped build her creativity, teamwork, and communication skills. Kathryn has also completed coursework toward a secondary teaching credential in California.
