Frances Martin

Frances Martin returns to Richmond and the Reggio Emilia approach after two years in New Jersey. After graduating from New York University with a master of arts in Drama Therapy and completing training at the post-graduate Institute for the Arts in Psychotherapy, she supported children and adults for 11 years in various environments through expressive arts therapies, embodied therapies, and psycho-education therapies. Upon returning to Richmond, she worked in St. Catherine’s School’s Reggio- inspired JK classroom.

Frances is passionate about education and enjoys collaborating with others to continuously discover what children are thinking and find ways to support the development of their ideas while holding a safe and enriching environment for them to learn and grow. She finds great satisfaction and joy in the relationship between educators in research and practice, the service of supporting the community.

She has also completed 200-hour and 500-hour yoga teacher training and has experience not only teaching adult individuals and groups but also teaching very young children combined yoga and music classes.
