Elize Saaiman

Born and raised in Pretoria, South Africa, Elize graduated from the University of Pretoria, majoring in Afrikaans, English, and French. As an 8-12 Grade French teacher, she established the school’s Club Français and later introduced elementary school students at the Extra-Curricular Center for Gifted Children in Pretoria to the beauty of the French language and culture.

After relocating to San Diego, CA, she enrolled in the Early Childhood

Education Department at Palomar Community College, and then taught at a local preschool for three years. Elize moved to Richmond in 2018 and has been on staff at Sabot School since August 2020. She is thrilled to spend the afternoons with her Extended Day students.

Elize is happiest in her garden. She loves all things beautiful: good books, good music and her three grandsons.
